We’ll be on the road a lot in the coming months, mainly exploring geological sites in California and the west. We have hit the eastern Sierra in California, from Lake Tahoe in the north to the Kern River Canyon in the south. We have visited Hoover Dam and the Valley of Fire near Las Vegas. We have traveled to northern California to check out Lassen Volcanic National Park.
More adventures lay in front of us and knock on wood that I survive with two kiddos.
On our recent trips we have tried to make some videos on the road for you. Check out the video below from Old Town Sacramento, with Alastair in top form changing the camera on us. We shot vlog-style videos for you from Bumpass Hell at Lassen Volcanic National Park and a couple of vlogs that we picked up at home.
The bear project is still in progress with little to report except that two pet chickens have since been eaten. I’ve heard gun shots the last two nights so I do wonder what is going on out there.
(The chickens, Anakin and Padme, have made cameo appearances in the Half Pint videos. Luckily, the chickens Boofy, Captain, and Fuzz Ball remain.)
The last video there may be a wee bit controversial but understand that we do live in the absolute middle of a forest. Knowing your way around a gun is not a bad idea. That said, Frederick hardly knows his way around a gun, a fact that is apparent in the video.
