This is a simple rosemary syrup for you to use in all of your kitchen creations.
- 1 quart water
- 2 cups sugar or honey
- 12 inch rosemary stem
Bring water to a boil.
Remove rosemary leaves from stem.
Pour boiling water over rosemary leaves.
Cover and allow to steep for at least 30 minutes (even overnight if you have the time).
Strain leaves from liquid, retaining liquid for your syrup.
Dissolve sweetener in your liquid, bringing the temperature back up to do so as necessary.
Store in your refrigerator for a couple of weeks.
