Apple Cider Vinegar Pickled Oranges and Onions

This is a simple and delicious for pickling oranges and onions in apple cider vinegar.

  • 2 pieces oranges, peeled and slices
  • 1/2 piece red onion, peeled and thin-sliced
  • 1 cup vinegar apple cider or white wine


  • Peel and slice the oranges
  • Peel and slice the red onion.
  • Layer red onion and orange pieces in a mason jar
  • Boil a small rock to weight down the oranges and onions. Place rock on top.
  • Cover in vinegar.
  • Allow to sit for at least two weeks and up to several months, swishing it daily (or as you can remember)>
